A few Sundays back the children got to
learn about some of the attributes of God. This Sunday we will be
learning much more about one of my personal favorite attributes: God's
immutability! God's unchanging nature, how God neither grows weaker or
stronger with time because he is, was and will forever be perfect in all
ways. I personally am amazed at God's immutability and thankful for it
because it means His love for us will never change. God will never
abandon those who believe Him. God even loved us even before he made us
we are told in Romans 8:29-30. God's perfect love will be with us
everyday of this life and beyond.
The children will be reading through part of Romans 8
this week and discussing God's unchanging, immutable love for us. Our
memory verse will then be coming from James.
James 1:17 "Every
good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from
the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting
shadow."
