Dear Kids' Zone Families,
This week
the children will be learning about a rather complicated subject, the
Trinity. Â We will be looking as verses of Scripture that teach
important lessons about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Â Our goal is
to give the children a clearer idea of what the Bible says about God!
We will be looking at John 14:26 where Jesus tells
us that the Holy Spirit is sent by the Father to teach and remind us His
truth. Â We will be looking again at John 14:6 where Jesus proclaims
that he is the truth, the life and the way to the Father. Â Then we will
be looking at 1 John 3:1 to talk about the wonderful love the Father
has for us!
Part of 1 John 3:1 is going to be our memory verse for this week: Â "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! Â And that is what we are!"
We invite you to have a discussion this week with
your children about the the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Â It can be
difficult to teach the concept that there is only one God but that he
eternally exists in three persons so we greatly value any discussion
time you can have with your children this week!
